| Hello I noticed that in UC Surface I can activate the red clipping 'light' just below the pan. Then also the corresponding light on the front panel on the RM changes to red. What does that mean or what is it used for. I could not find anything in the user guide Regards Werner PS: very happy with my RM32 - what a great sounding board. |
| Maybe test if the clip light is working? Channel locate? I am Sir Melvis Bacon, Knight of BaconHam Palace. Studio One 2 Pro 3.3.x (64 bit). MacBook Pro 13'. OS X Sierra version 10.12.3. | Maybe the clipping lights (can be set to) latch, and clicking on them allows you to reset them? |
| Possibly when active (red) they go out when clipping occurs. Nah. Not likely. Ray Tanzen, care to help on this one? | Hello, had my first live gig with the rig last Saturday. Everything worked fine. Still wondering about my question. Regards Werner |
| Perhaps to put the channel in a pre-clipped state, as a prank to a soundtech that tries to wrap his head around the preamp levels? Back to the possible functionality: My guess is to put the channel in a clip-recording state. Once it goes out you know it has clipped. In other cases... it is just a bug |
| Feels like a minor software bug to me, I would have expected it to latch red when clipping occurs, then clicking on it would clear it. However if it was already clear clicking on it should have no effect. Instead, it seems to be operating like a blind toggle operation. The event handler should do nothing if it is not latched red. | There's a peak hold button in the settings. Clip stays on when that's activated? |
| SwitchBack wroteThere's a peak hold button in the settings. Clip stays on when that's activated? Well if I activate the red peak button at the top of the channel strip it also activates the corresponding light at the front of the RM32. |
| No updates on this question? I'd like to know too. |
| I would consider this just a bug in the software... nothing that you are going to see problems with, Presonus will get it worked out Rack mount Win7 64bit, liquid cooled i7 2600k @4.4Ghz 16 gigs of ram @ 1600, StudioOne V3 RM16ai, Crown XLS1500's/2000's, DBX PA+, JBL MRX525's/528's/512m's, Shure - PGXD2 wireless w/Beta58, Beta 91A/98's, SM58's, SM57's, SM7b, 545's - RODE NT1a, Audix i5/F90's/OM2's Sennheiser - 609/HD380 Pro's, Monster Power Pro 3500 x2 |
